Music for Palm Sunday

Palm Sunday, also called Passion Sunday in the Christian tradition, is the first day of Holy Week and the Sunday before Easter, commemorating Jesus Christ’s triumphal entry into Jerusalem. It is associated in many churches with the blessing and procession of palms.+

This Sunday, we invite everyone to join the choir for a special palm branch processional at the beginning of the service. We’ll meet in the narthex at 10:15am to line up. You’ll get a palm branch to wave and singing is optional. If you arrive late, you can just get up from your seat when our processional passes by in the sanctuary! If you are unable to walk in the processional, we hope you’ll be singing and waving your branch from your seat!

Here’s a little recording of the processional hymn for Sunday. Singing is optional, but it’s super fun and easy if you want to sing along!

591 Halle, Halle, Hallelujah!

Listen to this Sunday's hymns below!

While searching for examples of each Sunday's hymns to include above, I always run across other interesting selections to share. Here's this week's fun pick!
