The Power of Prayer
Praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints… (Ephesians 6:18)
First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people… (1 Timothy 2:1)
Likewise, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. (Romans 8:26)
How is your prayer life? What do you pray about? Do you pray for others? And the biggest question of all…
Does prayer really work?
Most of us have questioned the “power of prayer” at one time or another. I want you to do something for the rest of the week. Pray. But here’s how I want you to pray. First, consult God before you pray for anyone. Take note of the names God gives you and pray specifically for these people. If some random, unexpected person comes to mind that’s great! Be sure to carve out some time each day for this “exercise”. You won’t be disappointed.
See you Sunday!
